Work for Week 3/9

This week I worked on the Create My Own assignment. I searched online for different photoshop tutorials and landed on a tutorial titled Combining Images Into a Stunning Composite. This tutorial helped me to refine my compositing skills with different techniques I had no idea I could use. The first image is one where I followed along with the video provided in order to learn and apply the techniques. After that I made my own photo, which is the second one, and I feel that it came out pretty good. First I edited the sky so that it blended with a photo of stars I found online. After that I edited some clouds in and dropped in the two Star Wars assets. After cleaning the edges of the two photos I started adding details to them. First I added a glow effect to the Death Star to make it look like it's putting out light. Next I added lighting effects to the AT-AT which included the shadow and edge lighting. After adding those details I added even more by utilizing a process meant to make assets in a composite look like they're in the environment by applying a color layer over them and adding a blend filter. After those were done I decided to add the man on the pier and applied the same details to him as with the other assets. Overall, glad with how the composite came out.
