A surrealism artist I found that I really liked was Vladimir Kush, the image above being an example of his work. I really enjoyed his work b/c practically all of them were transitional in some way. The one above is a deer transitioning into trees. Another example was leaves falling from a tree transitioning into butterflies. All of them were just really cool and interesting to me. I didn't try to replicate this in my image for two reasons: I didn't feel like I could replicate his style enough to do them justice and I didn't have enough time to try and attempt something so complex. Before I settled on the McDonald's moon idea I had made two different ones before it. One I didn't feel was "surreal" enough and the other was more composite than surreal image. After finally settling on the one I ended up doing I had difficulty trying to get the shadows and lighting correct. Honestly, I feel like I could've done better in some aspects but overall it ain't bad.
