The name of this assignment was the lighthouse challenge. After editing the lighthouse into the background I had the idea to put a man in the middle of the photo walking the path. After editing it to a point that I liked I felt it was too dry and boring and so I wanted to add more in the sense of photographic weight. After editing in the boat the photo felt too unbalanced and drew too much away from the guy in the middle, so I decided to cut the guy completely. I added details such as the shadow and a vibrancy/saturation layer and edited the photo using the Raw Camera filter. The video from the project page helped a lot in the sense that it gave me an idea of what I wanted to do but not much aside from that, though, because all of the skills applied in the video were kind of basic and not that difficult.
